RULES AND REGULATIONS
NO SMOKING AND
VANDALISM ON SCHOOL FACILITIES!!! Schools
may have cameras and security present. Parking lot is still
a part of the school. Please be considerate and do not
jeopardize the league and players. You may also risk yourself
of being fined and will be held liable and accountable for all damages.
We appreciated your cooperation and understanding.
NO FIGHTS ARE TOLERATED.
PLAYER WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR AN ENTIRE SEASON AND MAY JEOPARDIZE
THE TEAM ON FUTURE LEAGUE PARTICIPATION. ALL SUSPENSIONS WILL
BE CONSIDERED BY THE REFEREES AND COMMISSIONERS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
ANY UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCTS OR BEHAVIORS MAY RESULT IN LEAGUE
FORFEIT AND FUTURE PARTICIPATION. GAME EJECTION (2 TECHNICAL
FOULS OR AUTOMATIC EJECTION) WILL RESULT IN A GAME SUSPENSION
(NEXT GAME, INCLUDING PLAYOFFS). NO FOUL OR INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGES
AND BEHAVIORS ARE ALLOWED. REFEREES MAY ISSUE A TECHNICAL WITHOUT WARNING.
A $32 game
fee for referees & scorekeeper must be given before the start of each
game.
Gym locations & time frames may change during the season due to
permit usage & uncontrollable circumstances. We apologize ahead of
time if this may cause any inconveniences.
Roster changes through the scorekeepers or commissioners are ONLY
allowed before the 3rd league game. Players
must have participated in at least half of the total games during the
regular season in order for them to qualify for the playoffs. ETC: 8
team division will require at least 3 games & 6
team division will require at least 5 games. Injuries during league
play will be considered. Maximum of 12 players on roster (only 10 team
awards).
It is the team's responsibility to have
the scoresheet (first name, last name & number) filled out before
the start of the game. Players not on the scoresheet or the roster
form will automatically receive a technical before or during the game
and may result in a forfeit.
A player may ONLY be on
one team's roster per division during the entire season. Participating
on multiple teams in the same division will result in a forfeit.
We
will not accept any request or changes if any conflicts are resulted
from any multiple team participation.
All forfeit deposits will be given back at the end of the season
(if no forfeit occurs) or may be transferred to the following season.
All teams with more than one forfeit (or any playoff forfeit) will
NOT be accepted the following season. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All
championship teams (except highest division) will be required to
move up a division regardless of roster changes. ONLY the last
two placed teams have the option to move down a division. The League
may move a team up or down a division to provide a fair and competitive
atmosphere.
DIVISION & PLAYOFF FORMATS (subject to change):
- 8 Team Division Format:
- Regular season: Each
team plays each other once.
- Top 4 teams qualify for Championship
Round Robin.
- Bottom 4 teams qualify for Consolation
Round Robin.
- Round Robin: Each team plays each
other once. Best record wins. Head to head match up and/or
point spread will determine any tie breakers.
- 6 Team Division Format:
- Regular season: Each
team plays each other twice.
- Top 4 teams qualify for ONE
DAY single-elimination playoff.
GAME REGULATIONS
(All games
are governed by HIGH SCHOOL RULES - EXCEPT free throws are on release,
NOT off the rim)

20 minutes run time
except for the last 15 seconds of the 1st half and last 2 minutes
of the 2nd half (note: if a team is ahead by 13 points or more,
the time will continue to run).

There will be a 30
second shot clock for regulation (on request) and all overtime(s).
Players are NOT ALLOWED to interrupt with the shot clock countdown
provided by the scorekeeper. A technical foul will be issued
as a result.

Timeouts: 3 Full Timeouts. No carry over for Overtimes.
1 timeout per overtime.

Overtime: 1st overtime:
2 minute stop time. 2nd overtime: sudden death.

Managers are responsible for conduct of their players, any
unsportsmanlike conduct or fighting will subject to suspension
of the manager and player.

EACH
TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN INSURANCE COVERAGE
AND TEAM MANAGER MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED ROSTER FORM
RELEASING MOFUFUS BASKETBALL LEAGUE AND ASSOCIATES FROM ALL RESPONSIBILITIES.
MANAGERS ARE HELD LIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL
THE PLAYERS ON THE HIS/HER TEAM.

minutes grace period will be given before forfeiting.

FORFEITS
: Teams must have 4 players to start
the game and 5 players by halftime. If
not, team must pay both teams referee
fees and must replace forfeit bond before
their next scheduled game. Grace periods
are 10 minutes. FORFEITS WILL
BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

UNIFORMS: Each
team must have a number legible on BOTH front AND back (cannot
be taped). Assigned
home team (on the left side of the schedule) must
be in light color jersey and away team is in dark
color jersey. A technical will be assessed if no
number or no jersey.

ROSTER
: Maximum 12 players on the roster (only
10 team awards). NO roster changes allowed
after 3rd week of league.
- Dunking is allowed; however,
player and team manager will be held liable and accountable
for any sort of damages made to the rim and/or backboard.
